CF du NORD - 3.1212 - a 'Superpacific' built in 1923 for express services, seen here on a Pullman train prior to World War Two.

CFL - 1805 - Class 1800 Co-Co DE - 20 locos built 1963, same as SNCB Class 55 - most withdrawn by 2010 - seen here awaiting departure on the 0640 to Luxemburg, 30/07/98 - note steam heat.
CHATEAUNEUF-SUR-CHARENTE - looking east from the bottom of our holiday home garden, with the crossbar signal on and a railcar heading for Angouleme, 26/10/96.
CHATEAUNEUF-SUR-CHARENTE - looking west through the station, our holiday house just to left of crossbar signal, 27/10/96. The route ahead is to Saintes whilst that behind me is to Angouleme.
COMPAGNIE A EPERNAY - 3 VILLE DE COLMAR - a long-boilered 2-4-0 built in 1847 by the Societe L'Expansion.
CP - Class BB400 - 2 B-B engines built in 1962 for freight services - now withdrawn - seen here on a goods train in the valley of the Var.
CP - Class X300 railbus - 4 Class SY railbuses built in 1972 rebuilt with new cabs - crosses the viaduct at Meailles. The Chemin de Fer de Provence runs for 166km from Nice to Thorame Haute, peaking at 1000m above the valleys of the Var and Verdon.The line from here to Digne closed in 1989 but is to be rebuilt and reopened.
