  • GAS ATTACK! - Soldiers practice evacuating a casualty under gas attack in what is, I suspect, a pre-war exercise. The use of poison gas was much feared during the War but never used in combat.
  • GERMAN PARATROOPERS JUMP ON STATIC LINES.
  • GUARD DUTY IN THE SNOW - I suspect that these two soldiers are in Russia. Note the ice on the moustache of the man on the left and his huge mittens.
  • HALF-TRACK IN THE RIVER - An SD Kfz9 heavy half-track tows an artillery piece, probably a 75mm piece, through a river.
  • HALT! VIOLATIONS ARE PUNISHABLE! - A soldier stops a truck at a checkpoint.
  • HEADQUARTERS - A row of dispatch motorcycles outside a headquarters building. These look like smaller capacity split-single machines, very popular in Germany.
  • INFANTRY IN TRAINING. (They look very clean!).
