Class 141 - 141 113 - 20 x 2-car units built 1984 for local services in the Leeds area of Yorkshire, first of the 'Pacer' family of units and much unloved, being rough-riding, noisy and generally uncomfortable. On withdrawal in 1997, 15 units were sold to Iran Railways (may Allah have mercy on them!) whilst the remainder are preserved in Britain - preserved at Midland Railway, Butterley - seen here at Pontefract Tanshelf on a Knottingley train in 01/93.
