I have attempted to differentiate them into enthusiast specials and trains that were mere excursions of interest to the general public as well, probably not entirely successfully!   • RAIL TOUR - 'DIESEL EXCURSION' - Run by the Westminster Bank Railway Society on March 21st, 1954, this trip included a tour round Swindon Works. Transport provided for the tour was GWR railcars Nos.W33 and W38 either side of a trailer - must have been quite a novelty back then.
  • RAIL TOUR - 'DONCASTER ROVER No.2' - Run by the LCGB on January 21st, 1979, in heavy snow, the tour commenced by DMU from Liverpool Lime Street to Allerton due to engineering works.   • RAIL TOUR - 'DUKERIES LIMITED' - Run by the Branch Line Society on October 22nd, 1977, this tour took a very roundabout route through London to get to Lincoln. The engines used were E8619, 47300 and 64647 but there is some doubt as to which sections of the tour the latter two actually hauled, although here we see 47300 at Stratford which would suggest that it hauled the last leg.
