  • RAIL TOUR - 'NOTTINGHAMSHIRE-LINCOLNSHIRE RAIL TOUR' - organised and run by the RCTS on May 16th, 1954, the tour visited a number of obscure ELR branches, including the Spilsby branch, 15 years closed to passengers, seen here. Motive power was Midland Compound No.40935 and Class J6 0-6-0 No.64199 and the train was made up of 5 coaches including a buffet car. The tour ran as follows:-<br />

Black 5 44944 only lasted until September.<br />
