  • RAIL TOUR - 'NOTTINGHAMSHIRE-LINCOLNSHIRE RAIL TOUR' - organised and run by the RCTS on May 16th, 1954, the tour visited a number of obscure ELR branches, including the Spilsby branch, 15 years closed to passengers, seen here. Motive power was Midland Compound No.40935 and Class J6 0-6-0 No.64199 and the train was made up of 5 coaches including a buffet car.   • RAIL TOUR - 'SEVERN & DEE RAIL TOUR' - Run on Saturday, February 26th, 1967, by the LCGB, this nine coach tour travelled around he West Midlands with a variety of motive power, most of it not long for this world. 92026, an ex-Crosti 9F, was based at Birkenhead and was withdrawn the following November.
