FENLAND CLASS 31
Included here are pictures all taken between Peterborough East Junction and Ely North Junction, all of the Queen Adelaide crossings included and the erstwhile Wisbech Branch. Some of the old 35mm slides from the '80's are a bit blurry but then those were the days of 65ASA film, 1/125th and Focus DIY. These are probably best looked at in large format. 31105 snakes into March Up Loop on a ballast train, 03/01/86. Built as D5523, it became 31105 in January 1973. It was operated for some years after original withdrawal in May 1997 by Network Rail and painted in their yellow livery. It was withdrawn in August 2018 and is preserved at Mangapps Railway Museum.
