FENLAND CLASS 41/43 (HST)

Included here are pictures all taken between Peterborough East Junction and Ely North Junction, all of the Queen Adelaide crossings included and the erstwhile Wisbech Branch. Some of the old 35mm slides from the '80's are a bit blurry but then those were the days of 65ASA film, 1/125th and Focus DIY. These are probably best looked at in large format.   • 43314, in ex-LNER, now EMR livery, heads for Ely North Junction and storage on 0L47 from Leeds Neville Hill with sisters 43308 and 43318, 43296 leading, seen here passing Whitemoor Drove as it got dark, 22/12/20.

  • 43319 passes Whitemoor Drove AHB on the rear of the diverted 1S16 Kings Cross - Inverness, 13/01/19.
  • 43320 leads 43239 approaching Welney Road AHB on an 0427 Craigentinny - Ely North Junction stock move with just one barrier van (?), 07/01/20. However, tomorrow we have an 0855 Ely North Junction - Arlington Services, via just about everywhere, booked so perhaps this will be taking an LNER set for rebranding. Note that 43320 carries EMR branding whilst 42329 is unbranded.
  • 43320, LNER liveried but EMR branded, passes Welney Road AHB on the rear of an Ely North Junction - Leeds Neville Hill working consisting of two barrier vehicles powered by 57301 GOLIATH, 30/01/20.
  • 43367, debranded, approaches Badgeney Road AHB on a Leeds Neville Hill - Ely North Junction off Lease stock move. 05/12/19. The stock will go into storage and the power cars with return to Leicester. I'm not sure if this the first LNER set to go into storage.
