FENLAND CLASS 66 (GBRF)

Included here are pictures all taken between Peterborough East Junction and Ely North Junction, all of the Queen Adelaide crossings included and the erstwhile Wisbech Branch. Some of the old 35mm slides from the '80's are a bit blurry but then those were the days of 65ASA film, 1/125th and Focus DIY. These are probably best looked at in large format. As opposed to being half asleep as usual, yours truly was completely asleep this time, lurched awake as the earth tremors reached 5 on the Richter Scale and this was the best I could do - typical!

66707 SIR SAM FAY brings up the rear of this rake of 5 GBRf Class 66's lead by 66715 passing Whitemoor Drove inward bound for Whitemoor Yard, 21/08/15. As opposed to being half asleep as usual, yours truly was completely asleep this time, lurched awake as the earth tremors reached 5 on the Richter Scale and this was the best I could do - typical!

  • 66706 NENE VALLEY brings 6E84 Middleton Towers - Monk Bretton to a stand at Australia Farm OC due to engineering work of some sort, 17/09/15. After allowing to preceding unit to gain a decent headway, it resumed its journey at extreme slow speed.

This is Day 2 of the 4 Day GBRF 15 Tour, The tour started yesterday in the South of England and today visits Whitemoor, Peterborough, Great Yarmouth, Harwich International, thence to Edinburgh. Day 3 is spent around Edinburgh and Day 4 goes to Liverpool, Doncaster, Wembley, Paddington and Reading.
