  • PORT CARLISLE DANDY - Between 1861 and 1914, passenger services over the 2.5 mile long Drumburgh to Port Carlisle line were provided by horse-drawn carriages. In 1914, steam locomotives took over, replaced by the LNER with a steam railcar until the line closed in June 1932.
