OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 47004 OLD OAK COMMON TRACTION & ROLLING STOCK DEPOT is on display at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day in mid-60's green livery, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 01/99 and is now preserved.

OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 47004 OLD OAK COMMON TRACTION & ROLLING STOCK DEPOT is on display at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day in mid-60's green livery, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 01/99 and is now preserved.

  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 37403 BEN CRUACHAN is on display in mid-60's green livery at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 03/00 and is now preserved.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 40122, erstwhile D200, on display at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 04/88 and is preserved at the NRM.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 44004 GREAT GABLE on display at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day, 29/08/98. This loco was withdrawn in 11/80 and is preserved at the Midland Railway Centre.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 47004 OLD OAK COMMON TRACTION & ROLLING STOCK DEPOT is on display at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day in mid-60's green livery, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 01/99 and is now preserved.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 47016 ATLAS on display at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 01/99 and I think it was the oldest Class 47 in traffic at the time.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 47114 FREIGHTLINERBULK in green livery at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 11/01.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 47145 MEREDDIN EMRYS on display at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 07/99, sold to Fragonset Railways in 11/02 and finally withdrawn in 02/07.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 47766 RESOLUTE heads one of the Derby Station - Toton Depot shuttles into Derby Station on the evening of 29/08/98 tailed by 47776. This engine was withdrawn in 04/00. Note the Class 151 DMU in the background.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 47776 RESPECTED on the rear of a Toton Depot - Derby shuttle headed by 47766 from the EWS Toton Depot Open Day, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 04/04 and is currently in store at Carnforth.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 50044 EXETER, posing in it's pre-TOPS number as D444, on display at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 01/91 and is now preserved.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 73131 - EE Class 73 Bo-Bo ED - built 07/66 by English Electric as E6038 - 1973 to 73 131 - withdrawn 09/03 - seen here at Toton Open Day, 08/98.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 86631 on display at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 11/03.
  • OPEN DAY - TOTON EWS DIESEL DEPOT, 1998 - August Bank Holiday Weekend 1998 - 87101 STEPHENSON on display at the EWS Toton Depot Open Day, 29/08/98. This engine was withdrawn in 04/99 and cut up in 02/02.
  • OPEN DAY - WHITEMOOR YARD - Page 1 of the 4 page information booklet put out by Network Rail for the Whitemoor Open Day on May 25th, 2004. The organisers were very surprised by the popularity of this event. They had expected a few hundred locals to attend and were dismayed by the thousands who turned up. I spoke to some lads who had come from Gloucester by minibus.
